FINANCING
We generally recommend financing solar panels even if you have the cash to purchase them. The reason is because you don’t have to pay for several months. Within this period your system can be turned on and generating power while you accumulate credits from the utility. So when you actually begin to start paying off the solar panels, you will already have saved several hundreds of dollars. So you can be cash flow positive right away. This is why some solar companies call the solar panels FREE and they say that the state can completely pay for your solar panels. This is NOT accurate. You are actually financing the system with a long grace period before you have to pay anything. So your system gets built, starts making power for your home for $0 down. This is the more accurate way to explain this instead of saying everything is free and the government pays for everything.
You are still are eligible for the tax credits when you use our financing. But you are NOT eligible for any tax credits and rebates if you are only leasing or renting the equipment or doing a PPA (power purchase agreement) from another company.
